crown valley

I was commissioned to design the single cover for my good friends newest project, Crown Valley.Their single is called “Gaslighting” (streamable everywhere!). When listening to the track, there were definitely some great options for imagery to be used within the cover, but after discussing with the band, they were interested in something that captured the aesthetic/brand they want their band to go in. When a band thinks in terms of branding, it is a welcomed surprise for me and helps give me a clear starting point. Crown Valley is a synth rock band that was going for the neon, 80’s, TRON-like (in my words) aesthetic. For this project I used mainly adobe photoshop along with, my tried and true, adobe illustrator. Full disclosure, I had never used the chrome lettering effect in a design, so that was a fun step to learn and add to my arsenal! Check out their single and keep up with them on IG @crownvalleyband
